t's hard to suppose it's taken Big Brother contestant Gina Rio and Sallie Axl just a few days to become avowed enemies. The pair clearly disliked each other from the moment they met and within about 12 hours had been involved in two vicious rows that garnered one of them a formal warning for threatening behaviour.

With such a heated feud sparking so early and the pair being unable to stand in the same room without looking like they're about to spontaneously combust, it's clear that there's no going back. A line has been drawn in the Big Brother sand and sooner or later everyone is going to need to pick a side

For now the house seems to have almost unanimously sided with Sallie, and after launch night we too were right behind the tattooed, fire-breathing glamour model. Gina was an absolute terror in the immediate aftermath of her arrival. She played right into the selfish, shallow, entitled, deluded, uber-
Gatsby character that had been created for her in her VT, moaning endlessly about how she couldn't possibly share a bed because her boyfriend, her boyfriend, her boyfriend, declining to shut up even when numerous reasonable solutions were presented to her. In her eyes, none of them were good enough.

And of course complaining about how you don't have make-up wipes when the people whose house you've just barged into don't have
clothes is just not on. Neither is thinking you have the right to lash out at someone you don't like in a heavily-monitored and controlled environment as if it's the kerb outside Yates's (although actually we highly doubt Gina's ever heard of Yates's).

But when the sun rose the next day, we can't have been the only ones who started seeing Sallie in a less favourable light. Her early morning attack on Gina seemed excessive and uncalled for, especially when both were content to just avoid each other. Gina may have got the formal warning, but both of their arguments were started by Sallie.

Watching the episode, we could see that Gina was clearly affected by the fights, hiding behind shades and shuffling around the house like a broken woman. Sallie, meanwhile, appearing to revel in having everyone agree with her about how awful the Savoy socialite is, and parlayed that into making sure everyone heard and relinquished to her opinions - that Gina is a mole, that her guess in the 'secrets' task was the right one, that eating Michael Dylan's 'Head of Household' sweets would get their suitcases back.

Although Gina is probably still the 'villain' of this rivalry due to the catastrophically bad first impression she made, we at
Reality Bites put it to you that she and Sallie are as bad as each other. Both could be accused of making trouble and attention-seeking (make-up wipe-gate VS sweets-gate), both are guilty of flinging appalling insults at the other ("She's the skidmark of society" / "You look like a prostitute"), and neither looks about to do the mature thing and bury the hatchet.

There is no middle ground - you cannot be boring and say "I like them both", or, more likely, "I hate them both". You'd never get away with it in that house-cum-battleground. So, where do your loyalties lie? Are you Team Gina or Team Sallie? Vote in our poll and leave your comments below!
