Mark Cavendish wins his first phase of the campaign, as he takes the fifth stage of the Tour de France with a sprint come to an end on Wednesday. Cavendish got into a just right point to attack, with sprinters jostling for position on the final without delay, administration to hold off a challenge from Norwegian Edvald Boasson Hagen. The challenging 142-mile route saw two crashes towards the end of a slow paced stage
